Our club dinner meeting on 24 October was very busy. Not only did we have two entertaining speakers from The Woodland Trust It was also the time of the year when Rotary Clubs mark World Polio Day! 27 members and guests sat down to dinner. A raffle raised o

ver £100 at the polio related event!

President Ian explained the background to the global campaign to eradicate polio.

Long standing Rotarian Mahendra Patel received his Certificate to mark 25 years’ membership – and spoke movingly of what inspired him to become a doctor: his childhood friend caught polio. - a true Purple4Polio event!
