60th Anniversary Milestone: Rotary Club of Louviers- Le- Neubourg

“A beautiful “3 in 1” evening at Vaudreuil Golf Club on 4 February! The Governor’s visit, Louviers- Le Neubourg Rotary Club’s 60th Anniversary and Sylvie’s induction. Our English friends from Banstead Rotary Club came specially to attend this evening, and Andres, our Venezuelan exchange student was also there.

We also welcomed the Governor of Rotary District 1640, Jean-Paul Roughol and his wife Sophie, as well as Assistant District Governor Philippe Saligue. This was a wonderful occasion to exchange ideas on the latest topics and each evaluate the Rotary experience. Jean- Paul many thanks for your advice and encouragement, we are motivated for the whole of the coming year!

We also fully celebrated the 60th Anniversary of the founding of our Club in 1958. Things have moved on with the passage of time, but the motto “Service Above Self” was the chief goal and remains so to this day!

Sylvie has come to join the great Rotary family and we are very happy to welcome her to our midst. Above all she will be a good Rotarian, but also ( as Jean- Paul advised us) because she is young and also a woman. Indeed, she is going to lower the median age of the Club by 18%... A very beautiful evening crowned by a magnificent Anniversary Cake.”
