Banstead Christmas Lights Switch On

On Thursday 1 December 2022 Banstead lights were switched on by the annual visit by Father Christmas, which signals the start of Banstead Rotary’s annual Christmas Collection in support of many well deserving local charities. Banstead Rotary and Banstead residents joined members of the Business Guild for the Banstead Community Event with street entertainers, shopping offers, kids’ games and a very special appearance by Father Christmas and his sleigh! Banstead glowed with fairy lights, rosy cheeked carol singers and a bright red Father Christmas last Thursday as Banstead Village held a special Christmas Event. Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, Councillor Frank Kelly, opened the event. The High Street Lights and Christmas Tree Lights were switched on with the help of Father Christmas who arrived at the event on the Banstead Rotary sleigh!
