Reachout - Sanderstead and Selsdon Rotary assisted by Banstead Rotary

On Saturday 2nd June, six volunteers from Banstead Rotary went along to assist Sanderstead and Selsdon Rotary Club with their annual Reachout. This event brings lonely and needy members of the local area together to enjoy a salad lunch and afternoon entertainment. This year, 71 elderly folk were transported to the venue by minibus and hosted and served food and drink at tables by Rotary volunteers aided by police cadets. The afternoon entertainment was provided by a local choir and musicians. The surprise act was a drag performance miming to well know female singers - all much appreciated by those in attendance.  In all, a very heartwarming experience to see the enjoyment on the faces of the guests - a great example of Rotary in action!
